Foreign software will be denied if there are two or more Russian analogues
October 8 State Duma will consider a bill banning state structures, state-controlled companies, as well as their “daughters” to buy foreign software if it is possible to replace the Russian IT-products, according to Tass.

Under the domestic IT-companies are those entities in which more than 50% belong to Russians permanently residing on the territory of RF, do not have dual citizenship.
Earlier it was reported that Russia may impose a special fee for the software manufacturers. On the collected money the government is planning to develop its own operating system and other products.
