More than three hundred soldiers, conscripts National Guard of Ukraine gathered Monday evening at the presidential administration building on Bankova street in Kiev, demanding demobilization.
As said fighters “Public Television”, their service life has expired six months ago, but they are still not allowed to go home.
According to the correspondent Ukrainian service Bi-bi-si from the scene, the action takes place from the street Instytutska and Bankovaya blocked militias and a metal fence.
Police officers dressed in the usual form and are not in possession of weapons and special means of protection.
The protesters, according to the correspondent, also unarmed.
As one of them, the guards need to guide clearly explained when the demobilization.
“We have already given their duty to the Motherland” – say the protesters.
They promise not to disperse until they see the document on demobilization. Threatening to join the protest even more fighters.
According to the correspondent Bi-bi-si, the action takes place peacefully protesting periodically chanting “Demobilization!”

The protesters set up an initiative group, which included parents and three conscripts. They transferred the administration of appeal to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“We were promised that this treatment will be reviewed as soon as possible – said the mother of one of the fighters Tatiana Mozovaya. – For this is going to commission, the question of your dismissal from military service. Your commanders have promised that to you any repressive measures will not be undertaken, “- she added.
Meanwhile, the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Monday introduced to the parliament Stepan Poltorak’s candidacy for the post of Minister defense, noting “high organizational ability and authority enjoyed by the commander of the National Guard, Colonel-General Stepan Poltorak”.
The National Guard of Ukraine was created by decision of the Kiev authorities in March 2014 after the aggravation of the situation in Crimea.
