Negotiators in Minsk did not give any comments on the results of the meeting – First Channel

The negotiations in the contact group on the settlement of Ukrainian crisis were difficult, and will continue in the near future. This is the only comment sounded after consultations in Minsk on their participants. It was the first full-time meeting of representatives of the warring parties in September. Date new round of negotiations has not been determined.

The meeting of the contact group in Ukraine continued for more than five hours – journalists who were waiting in the rain all the time near the House of diplomatic receptions, hoping that someone from the participants in the negotiations will be released to the press, but no comment was not followed .

Later, the representative of the Donetsk proclaimed the People’s Republic Denis Pushilin told news agencies that the negotiations were not easy.

“Passed heavy preparatory meeting to disclose its results and points to the next meeting is not quite correct in relation to the parties,” – he said.

Apparently, continued consultations on the agenda until the last moment. The meeting of the contact group began with a delay of two hours and took place in the closed to the press. In addition to talks Denis Pushilin and Vice-Speaker of the Parliament LC Vladislav Dana participated ex-President Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov and a representative of the OSCE Heidi Tagliavini. For her, the most experienced journalists – if she has time due to the protracted meeting, which culminated in a half hour before midnight, to celebrate Christmas.

According to the OSCE, at a meeting in Minsk were to talk about the challenge of arms for the line of demarcation, possible trade and economic relations of Kiev and the Donbass, as well as humanitarian aid and a prisoner exchange. The last question is regarded as a priority and the representatives proclaimed People’s Republic. However, it is not known whether it was possible to reach the parties at least verbal agreement on this issue.

On the eve of Prime DNR Alexander Zakharchenko said that the Ukrainian side did not start removal equipment from the line of contact in the Donbass, and because of this the parties have agreed in September, signing a memorandum of ceasefire. One of the critical issues, experts say, is the annulment of decrees Poroshenko on the socio-economic blockade of Donbas, as urged by the representatives of the DNI and the LC, but debated whether this topic is not yet clear. Even the next round of negotiations to be held on December 26, the parties speak evasively – terms under discussion.
