EU leaders concluded at an emergency summit approved the main proposals of the European Commission (EC) to resolve the immigration crisis. To overcome it, it is ready to spend the next two years, € 9,2 billion of the Community budget. Following the meeting of Heads of State and Government of the chairman of the European Council, Donald Tusk admitted that the situation of crisis “not encouraging” and the EU should wait for influx into Europe of millions of migrant workers.
Outlook solutions
Offers of the EC include the opening to the end of November, reception centers and refugee registration at the external borders of the EU, increased security by significantly expanding the resources available to the European agency for border control “Frontex” and the Agency for coordination of police agencies – Europol.
These measures should be supported by the creation of an effective system of return of migrants who are not entitled to asylum. In addition, the EU will provide financial assistance of the Community and third countries most affected by the influx of migrants.
