In a joint meeting of the two chambers of the Russian parliament also attended by representatives of regional legislatures, civil society organizations, religious denominations.
It is expected that the participants of the meeting offered to “toughen criminal liability for terrorism and aiding him, including recruitment, propaganda, propaganda methods and practices of terrorism as well as financing and any other support to terrorist groups “; strengthen measures to ensure the safety of civilians during the events, in transport and in other public places, considering it an absolute priority in the development of relevant legislation.
Earlier, the Federation Council adopted an appeal to the parliaments of the world and international parliamentary organizations by the need to join efforts in the fight against international terrorism, and the State Duma – a statement of the need for the immediate establishment of an international anti-terrorist coalition.
