The White House imposed sanctions on 11 individuals associated with Iran’s missile program.
According to the US Treasury, in the sanctions list included eight individuals (seven Iranians and Chinese), and three companies (Mabrooka Trading in the United Arab Emirates and related thereto legal entity of the United Arab Emirates and China).
US officials believe that the figures of the “black list” of violating the ban on the supply to Iran of equipment for testing of ballistic missiles. Missile program will be subject to international sanctions, as it represents a significant threat to the safety, the agency stressed.
US reportedly removed from Tehran only minor sanctions, related to the ban on doing business for individuals and legal entities from third countries and foreign affiliates of US companies. Restrictions for US residents meanwhile remain in force.
Earlier, the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini said that from December 16, removed the international and unilateral sanctions against Iran. The announcement was made after the publication of the notice of the international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the implementation of Iran’s conditions for lifting the sanctions.
