For two days, the area of forest fires on the territory of Trans-Baikal Territory has grown from 3 to 57 thousand. ha
On the morning of April 15 at the territory of Trans-Baikal Territory operates 112 forest fires on the total area of over 57 thousand. ha, including 22 localized on the area of 2255 hectares, BelTA IA REGNUM in the press service of the regional Forest Service.
On fire suppression has more than 2.3 thousand. people, including 296 paratroopers.
Fires operate in 22 areas of Trans-Baikal Territory: Aga, Akshinskom, Alexandrov-Zavodski, Baley, Borzinsky, Gazimur-Zavodski, Karymskoe, Krasnochikoisky, Kyrinskom, Nerchinskii, Nerchin-Zavodski, Olovyannikovsky, Petrovsk -Zabaykalskom, Sretensky, Uletovskom, Hilokskom, Tungokochenskom, Chernyshevsky, Chita, Shelopuginskom, Kalgan and Shilkinsky District Trans-Baikal Territory. The largest number of fires registered in the Chita region – 25 fires. Emergency mode and special fire-fighting mode operates in the region since March 25.
As reported IA REGNUM , the Regional Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that on April 15 possible sharp deterioration in the fire situation due to increased wind gusts of up to 24 meters per second.
In the Trans-Baikal settlements, according to recent data, the fire destroyed 153 houses already, which is home to 521 people. Four people were killed, including 3-year-old child. A total of victims of the disaster found 21.6 thousand people.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Trans-Baikal Territory announced collecting the victims of the fires.
Currently, started work evaluation commission, which will determine the number of victims and caused damage to install.
