The fight between Denis Lebedev and Youri Kalenga for the championship in the first heavyweight champion of WBA held the evening of April 10
Russian boxer Denis Lebedev has defended the world title in the first heavyweight (up to 90.89 kg) according to the World Boxing Association (WBA) in the fight against Frenchman Youri Kalenga , which took place 10 April in Moscow. Battle lasted all 12 rounds, Lebedev won Kalenga on points. The judges gave the victory to the Russian boxer unanimously – 116: 111, 115: 112, 116: 111.
In the course of the match rivals once sent each other in a knockdown. In general, the battle took place with the obvious advantage of Denis Lebedev.
Let us recall that in 2011, Lebedev owned “temporary”, and from 2012 – “regular” belt world champion WBA. On his account now including 27 wins and two defeats. Kalenga, who owned a “temporary” belt WBA, suffered a second defeat with 21 wins in the asset.
