The investigation imputes the head of the Komi Republic Vyacheslav Gaiser and his accomplices embezzlement of budget funds and shares of profitable companies, told RBC source familiar with the investigation.
According to a source Interfax, Gaiser and others involved in the case are accused of illegal transactions with state shares in regional companies, as well as fraudulent privatization schemes “for a number of years.” According to the source, the state share is usually blurred, and then moved into private hands. Some privatization transactions involved companies, affiliation with the relatives of the defendants in the case.
