About 800 people gathered at a rally near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Among the protesters representatives of the nationalist party “Svoboda”, “Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists” and the UNA-UNSO (banned in Russia). Participants of the rally were holding party flags and posters against the government, they knocked on the iron barrels and shouted “Yatsenyuk resigned”.
Also, to the parliament building, protesters brought ten cells with live rabbits, near which is located Poster with the inscription: “The rabbits in a cage, not in the Cabinet.” It also placed a cage with a live rooster. It reads: “Avakov,” which symbolizes the need to conclude in jail Interior Minister Arsen Avakov. In addition, the protesters brought to a building stuffed with a portrait Yatsenyuk, rabbit ears and the inscription “Senya”.
On Tuesday, Parliament will hear a report on the activities of the Cabinet. If Parliament remains dissatisfied with the work of the Cabinet, members of the same day may bring to the resolution of no confidence in the government. According to the rules of Parliament, such an initiative may withdraw the president or deputies, gathered 150 signatures on a petition. To make a decision on non-confidence, 226 votes are needed.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he supports the country’s total reformatting Cabinet. Later, the representative of the President Svyatoslav Tsegolko said that Poroshenko Yatsenyuk urged to resign.
