Putin signed a law prohibiting conversion of social organizations and movements in the party – BBC

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made changes to the Civil Code, precluding the possibility of converting the all-Russian public organizations and movements into political parties, according to the website the administration of President .

Vladimir Putin signed the federal law “On Amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation” and the federal law “On political parties”. Changes include a ban the all-Russian public organizations and movements transformed into political parties.

Also, in accordance with the new laws that are registered as legal entities of public movements should be in a separate group of organizational and legal entities.

Previous reported that Putin signed the law on undesirable organizations.
