«Rosgosstrakh” officially notified to suspend sales of new insurance policies in all regions of the Russian Federation, according to Tass. The corresponding order was signed by First Vice-President of “Rosgosstrakh” Dmitry Markarov. “All units are informed, sales of new insurance policies, as well as changes that require additional payment, stopped before the termination of restrictions imposed by the Central Bank”, – said the insurer. All offices and agents of the company continue to operate in normal mode, allowing the sale of all other types of insurance. At the same time limit license to sell new insurance policies do not affect the company’s commitment to all contracts concluded until 27 May 2015 inclusive.

Recall Bank of Russia said on May 26 Restrictions on the license of “Rosgosstrakh” in part insurance: the company has no right to enter into new contracts, but is obliged to serve the sold policies. The cause of severe sanctions against the Central Bank of the largest players in the market was the incorrect calculation of discounts in the sale of insurance. Large companies claim that the pick list “Rosgosstrakh” will not be easy – it accounts for a third of the market (15 million car owners), in some remote areas of the sellers “Rosgosstrakh” only.

Later it became known that the financial controller has given “Rosgosstrakh” six months to correct all violations.
