Kurdish group “Kurdistan Freedom Hawks» (TAK), associated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), has claimed responsibility for the blast in Ankara, reports Reuters referring to the militant website.

The militants claimed that the attack was revenge for the situation in the south-east of Turkey. They also threatened new attacks in Turkey.
A car bomb explosion occurred in the evening on Wednesday at a busy intersection in the center of the Turkish capital close to the Parliament buildings, the General Staff and dormitories for the military. According to the Turkish General Staff, the explosion occurred at the moment when the red light stopped vehicle convoy transporting military personnel. 28 people were killed, including 27 soldiers, 81 people injured. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu blamed for the attack on the self-defense forces of Syrian Kurds, however, the leader of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party Salih Muslim, denied the charges.
