It is largely dependent on Russia, it concerns the housekeeper, services, tourism, defense and solidarity on the Cyprus issue. It is felt by our European colleagues more. Measures in respect of such a great country as Russia lead to countermeasures on the part of Russia, and they have a negative result for the EU.
– Collapsing economic ties between the EU and Russia will inevitably lead to the loss of a certain proportion of the competitiveness of the whole of the eurozone in the medium, and the longer term – agreed with his Cypriot counterpart Putin.
During the press conference, the Russian president was asked about the problems with gas supply Donetsk and Lugansk. Kiev gas supply does not want to go there, but for Russian gas, aimed directly at these areas, refuses to pay. Putin recalled that in Minsk agreements have a point about the restoration of economic and social development of regions of Donetsk and Lugansk areas:
– Minsk agreements were signed not only in Minsk, but also reflected in relevant UN Security Council resolutions. They have acquired as an international legal instrument, and it should be respected. In this regard, of course, and today the Kiev authorities, fulfilling this position, which bears their signature must ensure energy supply in these regions.
Putin said that disabling the Donetsk and Lugansk republics of gas – in fact the continuation of the war against them.

If the Ukrainian authorities consider it their territory, and they bear the responsibility for the situation there, but if not, let them say openly about it.
Separately, was raised issue of gas supplies to Ukraine and the EU.
– Prepayments, which is produced by the Ukrainian side, left for the supply of gas for 3-4 days, – stated the President. – If the prepayment will not be, “Gazprom” in accordance with this contract and amendments to it will suspend delivery. Of course, this may create a threat for gas transit to Europe with our European partners. However “Gazprom” has fully discharged its contractual obligations and will do it. Hope to extreme measures will not come, and that the gas supply will not be interrupted, but it depends not only on us, it depends on the financial discipline of our Ukrainian partners.
