Malaysia’s AirAsia liner gone, flew from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore. Presumably, it crashed near the island of Belitung, hitting turbulence (in another version, the pilot tried to go around this area, but he did not have enough fuel to fly to the final destination). On board the plane were 162 people. Russians among the victims do not.
Airbus A320-200 of AirAsia, was flying from QZ8501 Indonesian city of Surabaya (the administrative center of the province of East Java) in Singapore, disappeared from radar air traffic control Sunday morning. According to the carrier, the last time the pilot made contact at 06:17 local time (2:17 MSK), requesting information about the route. About an hour after this ship was supposed to land in Singapore. Since this did not happen, and communication with the aircraft was lost from 07.24 local time (03.24 MSK) he was declared missing. Later, the Indonesian authorities reported on board the aircraft was fuel for 4.5 hours of flight, and as from the date of departure, he physically could not stay in the air.
On board the ship were 162 people. 155 passengers and seven crew members. Basically all of them – 156 people – were Indonesians. Also on board were three citizens of South Korea, one in France, one of Malaysia and one in Singapore. As there is evidence that one of the passengers had British citizenship. Among flying flight QZ8501 were 16 children and one baby.
The representative of the airline AirAsia said that when the pilot last time out on bond, he asked for permission to re-route to avoid getting into a zone of turbulence. On the way the ship turned out to be a storm front. Getting into this area could cause a catastrophe. According to another version, the pilot attempted to fly around the area where the storm raged, but he did not have enough fuel to make a detour to reach the final destination. Head of Department of the Ministry of Transport Aviation Indonesia Yoko Muruyo Atmodzho (Joko Muryo Atmodjo) reported that QZ8501 gave no distress signal. Before the plane disappeared from radar controllers recommended climb to 6,000 feet, to leave the area of bad weather.
Detect signals emergency beacon has not yet succeeded. However, it is assumed that the plane crashed into the water near the island of Belitung (Malay Archipelago). In this area were sent six rescue vessels and two helicopters. Assistance in the search operation suggested authorities Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
