Prime Minister of Canada called Poroshenko be resolute in carrying out reforms – BBC

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Poroshenko congratulated Ukraine with the formation of a new government, and called on the authorities in Kiev to be resolute in its quest for deep and lasting reform. It is reported by press service Canadian premiere.

«The leaders also discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine, as well as the need to continue the confrontation of Russian aggression,” – said in a statement.

Harper reiterated Canada’s support for Ukraine, including concrete measures such as the provision of insulated kits and other non-lethal types of military equipment.

The two leaders also expressed their commitment to the early conclusion of negotiations on free trade between Canada and the Ukraine.

Earlier reports , that Poroshenko Harper discussed his visit to Canada.
