US Department of Defense believes that one of the senior commanders of the extremist group “Islamic state” killed during the operation of the US Army on the territory of Syria.
According to the head of department Ashton Carter, who was killed was named Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Kaduli, he was also known as Haji Imam and served as the “Minister of Finance” IG.
Where and when was slain al-Kaduli, not yet reported.
Carter also said that US forces “systematically destroyed” members “of the cabinet” IG.
Earlier, the US government announced a reward in the amount of $ 7 million for information on the whereabouts of al-Kaduli, which was considered the second most important commander in the IG.
The leader of the group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi tries not to disclose information about themselves and their whereabouts. It is believed that even many of the militants IG never met him face to face.
