Russian citizen arrested in the US on suspicion of having relations with a minor – Russian Newspaper

In the United States (Connecticut), was arrested a citizen, whose name and location match the personal data Russian businessman Shalva Chigirinsky. On it informs RIA Novosti reported with reference to the local newspaper Greenwich Time.

According to the newspaper, 66-year-old businessman is accused under two articles – “the risk of bodily injury” and “unlawful contact with a minor under 16 years.” Chigirinsky was arrested on 10 March. It clarifies that he voluntarily surrendered to police and was later released on bail of 50 thousand dollars.

 

The first hearing in the trial had already taken place in Stamford, and the next is scheduled for March 29th. At the same time the American Themis refuses to disclose details of the case.

 

According to the lawyer Chigirinsky Audrey Fels, the charges against her client was put forward at a time when it is a long legal battle with his ex-wife for custody of the children. The ex-wife as claimed Greenwich Time, even in 2012, sent a civil action in the Court of the State of Connecticut, which claimed that the husband repeatedly “subjected her to cruel and barbaric” violence.
