VTB will participate in the meeting of creditors with the CEO of “Transaero” – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, October 28 – RIA Novosti. VTB received an invitation to a new CEO “Transaero” Valery Zaitsev and plans to take part in a meeting with creditors on Friday, which is expected as a shareholder S7 Vladislav Filev, RIA Novosti second-asset Bank of the Russian Federation.

“We have received the invitation and plan to take part in the meeting,” – said the press service of VTB Bank.

Previously Zaitsev sent creditors “Transaero” letter in which he invited them on October 30 to discuss the future fate of the airline. The meeting is expected to attend Fileva, said the letter, a copy of which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti. Invitation received all creditors “Transaero”, including state-owned banks, the agency said a source in one of the creditors.

Last week it became known that the shareholder group of airlines S7 (“Siberia”) Filev signed an agreement to purchase at least 51% of “Transaero”. Co-owner of “Siberia” Natalia Filev on Monday, RIA Novosti has confirmed that shareholders S7 keep plans for the purchase of “Transaero”.

On Tuesday, a source close to the deal told the agency that the shareholders S7 plan before the end of the week to issue in ownership of first 19% of shares of “Transaero”, and then will submit a petition to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the approval of the transaction. Also Tuesday, it was announced that the board of directors “Transaero” dismissed general director Dmitry Saprykin, presents “Aeroflot”, and appointed to the post of Deputy Flight Director “Transaero” Valery Zaitsev.

As reported earlier October, the head of VTB Andrey Kostin, located on the verge of bankruptcy of the airline for two months does not pay for VTB Leasing aircraft. Leasing debt “Transaero” before “VTB Leasing” is 40 billion rubles. The airline operates 21 aircraft group. Financial debt “Transaero” in front of VTB is 12 billion rubles, of which 9 billion rubles under the state guarantees.
