MOSCOW, March 1 – RIA Novosti Head of Rostekhnadzor Alexey Aleshin said that the mine “Severnaya” there was an anomaly in the developed formations, the reasons for this remains to be seen

Those technologies that are applied in the mine, they exclude similar displays … So there was some anomaly in the developed formations when, most likely, it is also suggested hanging a large reservoir, it is not destroyed, although was destroyed, and fell down, and brought the remaining methane … why did it happen now, we gather our best experts and specialists from universities, the Academy of Sciences that they answered us questions – what happened, why it happened, how these phenomena in the future can be predicted, and most importantly – how to deal with it “, – said Aleshin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The collapse of the mine “North” in Vorkuta at a depth of 748 meters was February 25. In total 110 people were at the time of the accident in the mine, 80 of them were brought to the surface. The reason for the collapse of rock in the mine could become a methane explosion. In total there were four explosions in the mine, killing 36 people, including five rescuers.
