The European Commission has proposed to abolish visas for Georgia – BBC Russian

The European Commission has proposed the European Union legislature to abolish the visa regime with Georgia.

If the European Parliament and the Council will take this step, the citizens of Georgia will be able to without a visa to visit the Schengen zone. However, they will not be able to hold out there for more than 90 days per year and will need to separately obtain a work permit.

The European Commission explained its proposal the impressive progress, which, in its opinion, Georgia has made in reforming its judicial system . According to the commissioners, the abolition of visas to strengthen cultural and business links between the EU and Georgia.

Earlier, the European Commission said it was ready to recommend the European Union to abolish the visa regime with Ukraine. This is actually a proposal is not made. That the European Commission is expected to approve it in April.
