United Nations, March 2 – RIA Novosti, Olga Denisova . The UN Security Council approved a new package of sanctions against North Korea after the nuclear tests and ballistic missile launches conducted by Pyongyang since the beginning of the year.

For the corresponding resolution number 2270 on Wednesday voted in all 15 members of the Council.

The resolution prohibits the supply to the DPRK aviation and rocket fuel, all cargo going to and from North Korea, will be subject to inspection. The resolution became the fifth against the DPRK. Previous resolution 1718, 1874, 2087 and 2094 were taken from 2006 to 2013.

The Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN Samantha Power, (the United States were sponsors of the resolution), said that it was studied how the DPRK can not use spaces in sanctions. The new measures, she said, will fill the gaps.
