Almost immediately followed by a second album, titled “Prince”, in 1980 he released «Dirty Mind», and in 1981 – a double “1999”, which has sold 3 million copies. The title track from that album became his first single to chart outside of the US. In general, he was already known for five years after the beginning of his career – in any case, in the rotation of the newly formed channel MTV hit only two songs of black musicians, «Billie Jean» Michael Jackson and «Little Red Corvette» Prince. Even outwardly musicians were something similar.
The peak of the creative success of Prince and his fidelity to rhythm and blues is considered an album in 1984 «Purple Rain».
