Germany changed its position on a Greek exit from the eurozone – Ekho Moskvy radio station

Now, Berlin agree on such a scenario in case of emergency, says Spiegel magazine citing German government sources. According to them, Chancellor Angela Merkel and Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble came to the conclusion that the failure of Greece from the euro would be an acceptable step. Previously they held the opposite point of view, however, the yield of the eurozone crisis allowed them to change their position.
Berlin also believe that a Greek exit from the eurozone is inevitable in case of victory in the parliamentary elections the opposition leader Alexis Tsipras. He promised to abandon austerity measures and to obtain a review of agreements with international lenders, says Spiegel.
