Putin’s visit to Iran was completed approval of 35 collaborative projects – RBC

Following the talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the parties have selected 35 priority projects in various areas of the economy.

«Selected 35 priority projects in energy, construction, marine terminals, electrification of railways, etc.”, – Interfax quoted Putin. In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed the readiness to allocate credit to Iran.

«Moscow and Tehran will intensify industrial cooperation. Russia is ready to allocate for this purpose the state export credit in the amount of $ 5 billion, “- said the president.

In addition, Putin said that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) to consider the possibility of establishing a free trade zone with Iran and Moscow and Tehran to expand cooperation in trade, focusing on product diversification, as well as greater use of national currencies in the calculations.

In turn, Rouhani said Iran intends in the future to develop nuclear cooperation with Russia. According to him, Putin’s visit will “allow more time to discuss the issues of cooperation, as well as regional and international agenda.” The Iranian president said that “the signed bilateral documents show that the relations between Iran and Russia are developing and entering a new phase».

Among the agreements signed – a contract Railways and Iranian railway company for design and construction of the railway section Garmsar – Ince-breaker. “Tekhnopromexport” and a holding company for the production of electricity at thermal power stations Iran signed an agreement for the construction of a thermal power plant and desalination plant near the city of Bandar Abbas (Hormozgan Province). The parties plan to build four power capacity of 350 MW.

The Russian president also said that Moscow and Tehran intend to continue cooperation in the energy sector. “At full capacity already released the first unit of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, work began on the construction of the second and third units,” – said Putin. “We will provide maximum assistance in the implementation of an action plan within the framework of Iran’s nuclear program, approved by the UN Security Council,” – said Putin said that Moscow would help Iran in the processing of enriched uranium, re-production to production of stable isotopes for research purposes.
