The Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) has opened a criminal investigation into the activities of the association “Aum” (declared a terrorist and banned in Russia). This is stated in a message on the site TFR.

The criminal case was opened under Part 1 st.239 Criminal Code (creation of an association whose activities involve violence against citizens and other injury to their health).

According to the investigation, unidentified persons no later than 2011 established in Moscow and St. Petersburg association of followers of “Aum” ( “Aleph”). Investigators believe that the creators of the group used physical and psychological pressure on the citizens in order to receive their donations and property.
