a former student of the Moscow State University Barbara Karaulova accused of trying to join the extremist group “Islamic state”, declared sane, she told her lawyer Sergei Badamshin.
“I can not disclose any details of [psychiatric] examination, but I can say that based on its results my client found sane” – quoted by Interfax Badamshina
Now Karaulov is in custody.. Earlier it was reported that investigators appointed her inpatient psychological and psychiatric examination at the Institute of the Serbian name.
Barbara Karaulova disappeared in Moscow in May last year. In June, she was detained at the Turkish-Syrian border and deported to Russia.
The student is charged with attempting to participate in a terrorist organization. During the interrogation, she admitted her guilt.
Investigators believe that the girl after arriving home continued communication with the recruiter IG and intended once again to go to Syria.
The group “Islamic State” is prohibited Great Britain, Russia and other countries.
