Tbilisi, July 30, 2015, 07:23 – REGNUM The Georgian authorities have confirmed to the Council its decision to extend the sanctions regime accession to the European Union against the Crimea and Sevastopol to 23 June of the following year. This is stated in the statement of the head of European diplomacy, the EU Federica Mogherini published on the website of the Council of the European Union.
As noted in the text of the statement, “the candidate countries for EU membership Montenegro and Albania, the countries members of the European Free Trade Area – Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, as well as Ukraine and Georgia joined the European Council Declaration of 19 June to extend the restrictive measures against the EU Crimea and Sevastopol until June 23, 2016 ».
In addition, all of these states except Georgia, supported by the European Union to extend economic sanctions against the Russian Federation before January 31, 2016 г.
It was reported earlier that the EU restrictive measures against the peninsula of Crimea supported 6 countries – is Albania, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Ukraine, Iceland, Montenegro and Norway.
