In Vienna, agreed on a schedule of forming a government of Syria – BBC Russian

participants in the talks on Syria in Vienna agreed on a timetable according to which the transitional government in the country must be formed within six months.

According to the plan, the talks between the Syrian authorities and the opposition should start in January. It is expected that the sides will discuss the principles of a transitional government. Elections in the country, it is hoped negotiators should take place through a year and a half.

In the past, Vienna November 14 the talks on settlement of the situation in Syria, attended by representatives of Russia, the US, the UN, France, Britain, Germany, Saudi Arabia , Turkey, Iran and the European Union, the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

On many issues, the parties have not reached an agreement. Among other participants in the talks disagreed on the future of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

As said after the meeting in Vienna, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon requested the employees of the organization to develop mechanisms to monitor compliance with the cease-fire in Syria.

A new meeting to resolve the conflict is to be held in a month.
