Member of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Vitaly Milon proposes to establish in Russia institute authorized to protect the rights of traditional faiths. In the near future a deputy will draft federal law to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg for treatment of project initiatives in the State Duma.

«Today, we have an extensive range of different ombudsmen and human rights activists, but for whatever the reason we still have not thought about the creation of the Institute for the Protection of the most popular social groups of the population – citizens of believers of different faiths “, – said Vitaly Milon Tass.

According to the MP, over the past few years, traditional confessions and the faithful have repeatedly been the target of attacks and attacks of various kinds of provocateurs who want to sow discord in the country and hatred of whatever religious beliefs. “It is the Ombudsman, who will protect the interests of all religions, historically professed people of Russia: Orthodox Christianity, traditional Islam, Buddhism, Judaism,” – said Mr. Milon.
