Police arrested more than 70 protesters in the US Cleveland – Kommersant

Law enforcement agencies have arrested about 70 Cleveland protesters who took to the streets after the acquittal the police, the suspect in the murder of two unarmed blacks. The police chief of the city reported that the detention began after a peaceful demonstration turned violent, reports AP.

Michael Brealey Police shot two unarmed blacks – Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell – in 2012, during the chase. Law enforcement officers noticed the police drove past at high speed the car from which came the sounds similar to shooting. In pursuit of a car involved about 60 police officers. A total of 137 suspects fired again. Charges were brought against only Michael Bril, but later experts said they could not determine exactly whose shot resulted in the death of suspects.

This is not the first such protests that take place in the United States. One recent example is the situation in Baltimore. April 28 in Maryland because of the death of an African American Freddy Gray clashes of protesters with the police. In street riots injured 20 law enforcement officials, about 250 people were detained. Baltimore Police requested reinforcements from neighboring states, the city sent the National Guard. In Baltimore for a week was a curfew, which the authorities have canceled May 3.
