In connection with the expiration of the term of office of Basil Bochkareva as governor of the Penza region as acting head of the region appointed Ivan Belozertsev, who heads the legislature region. This is stated in the decree of President Vladimir Putin, published on the Kremlin website.
«Assign Belozertseva Ivan Aleksandrovich acting governor of the Penza region before taking office the person elected governor of the Penza region,” – said in the text of the decree.
Vasily Bochkarev called one of the governors of old-timers, he was elected head of the administration of the Penza region in 1998, the same year he became the governor of the region, and then re-elected several times, and forwarded to the office. His term of office expires on 26 May 2015.
A week before this period Bochkarev announced the decision to voluntarily leave the governorship, go to the Regional Legislative Assembly and not to participate in the fight for the highest office in the region in the fall elections.
According to RBC, the Kremlin considered three candidates for the vacant position. However, the most likely candidate for the source of RBC was named speaker Belozertseva. Belozertsev – secretary of the local branch of “United Russia”, he has a good relationship with the federal government, said the source close to the authorities in the region.
Sources RBC, close to the Kremlin, also said that in the near future, another governor -starozhil may leave his post: this is the head of the administration of Tambov region Oleg Betina, who led the region with a break in 1995.

At the same time Putin has made it possible to re-election, including early, the heads of the nine regions, appointing them as acting.
