The winner of the musical contest “Eurovision”, held in Vienna, became a Swedish singer Selmerlev Mons. Russia’s Polina Gagarina with the song A Million Voices (“A Million Voices”) took the second place.
Gagarin long time in the lead in the vote, but then several countries in a row gave the Swede significantly more points. In particular, the Russian singer did not get any points from Lithuania and San Marino.
The third place went to the Italian trio Il Volo with the song Grande Amore (“Big Love”). All three countries from the beginning of the competition were considered the favorites of his.
Australia, debuting in the competition despite the fact that it is located outside of Europe, took fifth place. She is represented by Guy Sebastian, which is one of the most popular singers in the country and is also considered one of the favorites of the competition.

The British duo Electro Velvet, consisting of Nicolas Bianchi and Alex Lark, ranked fourth from the end of the song I’m Still in Love with You (“I’m still in love with you” ). Last place was occupied by Germany.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest took part of 27 states, a new record. At the same time from the competition refused to Ukraine in the east where security forces clashed with the separatists. Kiev explained his decision by lack of funds and inappropriate time for fun and exciting song contests.

In the final part of the contest were Slovenia, France, Israel, Estonia, Great Britain, Armenia, Lithuania, Serbia, Norway, Sweden, Cyprus, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Montenegro, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Romania, Spain, Hungary, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Albania and Italy.
It has been reported that a television audience of this year’s competition in the world was estimated at about 200 million people. In 2016, the competition will be held in the capital of Sweden – Stockholm.
