BEIJING, July 15 – RIA Novosti, Zhanna Manukyan. China stands for an investigation into the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing in Ukraine in July 2014 was carried out on the basis of resolution 2166 adopted by the UN Security Council, said in RIA Novosti on Wednesday at the Foreign Ministry of China.
The UN Security Council in July 2014 adopted a resolution on the 2166 Malaysian airliner crash, which contains the requirement to cease all military activities in the area adjacent to the site of the crash, the crash site to ensure the integrity and security participants of the international investigation.
“The collapse of Malaysian Airlines passenger plane MH-17 – a real tragedy. The Chinese side supports the idea that an independent, fair and objective investigation in accordance with resolution 2166 of the Security Council and bring to justice the perpetrators” – said the press service of the Foreign Ministry, commenting on the initiative of the establishment of a tribunal to investigate the tragedy.
Earlier, an initiative to create the tribunal were Malaysia, Ukraine, Australia, the Netherlands (most of the 298 people who died on board were citizens of these countries) and Belgium. Russia does not support this proposal. As conceived by Malaysia, an international tribunal must ensure fair trial for those responsible for the collapse of the liner. On the eve reported that Malaysia submitted a draft resolution to establish an international tribunal to investigate the tragedy.
China’s Foreign Ministry also expressed the hope that “the UN Security Council will be able to maintain unity and ensure that the issue of MH17 was resolved properly “.
Flight MH17 Amsterdam – Kuala Lumpur crashed July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. On board the ship were 298 people, all of them died. In late May, the international experts completed a search mission at the crash site. The collected debris liner remains of passengers and their belongings were sent to the Netherlands.
