About to sign a decree that extends the sanctions list of individuals and entities, the press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko Poroshenko, who posted at the photo of the document. The new defendants in the sanctions list is not Kiev calls. According to the presidential decree, the sanctions are introduced for one year.
Today, as the press service of the Ukrainian president, Poroshenko at a meeting with members of the Committee and Security Policy of the EU, he said that the list will include more than 400 individuals and more than 90 legal entities. He noted that the decision was made “in coordination with our partners from the European Union and the United States».
The decree enters into force of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on September 2. Then the National Security Council has called the expansion of the sanctions list, “the need to respond effectively to the continuing Russian military aggression against Ukraine».
Ukraine imposed sanctions against Russia in September 2014. Sanctions expected ban on withdrawal of capital from Ukraine for Russian citizens, the ban for Russian companies to participate in the privatization of a ban on exports to Russia of military goods and dual-use. In addition, in August, Kiev has approved expanded sanctions list of individuals and companies, which included the 1124 natural persons and 156 companies.
Earlier today Poroshenko has already appealed to the international community to expand sanctions against Russia because of the decision DNI authorities to hold separate elections in Donbass. The elections, according to the signed today by the head of DNR Alexander Zakharchenko decree held in the previously scheduled date – 18 October. Zakharchenko said that the elections will take place in several stages, and finally the election process will be completed in the DNI in the first half of 2016.
