The Russian delegation left the hall of the UN General Assembly during the speech of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a summit on the global agenda for development. Reported TASS quoted a senior Russian diplomat.

«We left the hall in protest against the openly politicized and aggressive speech, which did not match the stated theme of the summit” – the source said.

In addition, according to TASS, in the hall of the UN General Assembly was a Russian diplomat. As explained by the source of the agency, “the Russian side has the habit of listening to his opponents and not to leave them unattended at all performances».

Interfax source in the Russian delegation said that the room had left Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin. The interviewee said that the incident took place in protest against the “speech Poroshenko not relevant subject.” The source added that in the hall at the time of presentation was only one Russian diplomat said.

As previously said Poroshenko, the main objective of his participation in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly will be the strengthening of the international coalition in support of Ukraine. “The theme of the anniversary of the General Assembly is three priorities – peace, security and human rights.
