For a long time he helped co-operation between the two countries and made a historic contribution to the development of bilateral relations. China is deeply saddened by the death of Lee Kuan Yew, expresses its deepest condolences to his family and to the Government and people of Singapore, “- said in a statement Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lay published on the site office.
