In Manhattan in gas explosion caught fire and crashed two buildings. Injured at least 12 people. Three of them are in critical condition.
In the afternoon on Thursday, more than 100 firefighters were trying to put out a fire that engulfed a total of four buildings.
The cause of the explosion and collapse of houses has become a gas leak, said Mayor Bill de Blasio.
According to him, accident caused by builders, damaged pipeline in the restaurant on the first floor of a building.
According to the mayor, missing not, however, a complete picture of the accident is still clearer.

Gas explosion led to a fire in a building where there was a Japanese restaurant. The fire quickly spread to neighboring homes.
The incident occurred at 15:17 local time (19:17 GMT). Firefighters arrived on the scene within three minutes.

The building is on the corner of Second Avenue and Seventh Street near New York University.

Authorities fear of air pollution in the vicinity of the fire and ask the locals not to open the window.
