The State Duma approved the first reading of a government bill, which proposes to “freeze” in 2015 indexation of salaries of civil servants, military personnel, judges and some other categories. Indexation of social benefits in the bill is expected to reach 5.5 percent, but the second reading of the deputies will make corrections. Thus, at the end of 2015 social benefits will be indexed on actual inflation.
The document presented to the deputies, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, who admitted that the macroeconomic situation has deteriorated.
