American Republican senator from Arizona John McCain issued a formal statement on the refusal to accede to the Council of the reforms in Ukraine. This is stated on the website of Senator.

«I am honored to be invited to join the Council of reforms in Ukraine, body to discuss ways to ensure the territorial integrity and security of Ukraine and support the democratic future of the country before the face of Russian aggression. However, as indicated in the Constitution of the United States members of Congress about the interaction with foreign governments, I have to decline the invitation, “- said in a statement to Mr. McCain. The senator in his message expressed support for Ukraine, the Council and the Ukrainians.
