Presnensky court of Moscow has removed the former head of the Department of Property Relations of the Russian Defense Ministry Evgenia Vasilyeva key charged with embezzlement in the sale of assets of the military department, prosecutors said.

The state prosecution voiced the data after recess sentencing Vasilyeva.

During the preliminary investigation and during the trial investigators and prosecutors insisted that the ex- bureaucrat involved in 12 episodes of fraud, but the court found her guilty of only eight episodes. Vasilyev itself rejects all accusations.

The verdict against Vasilyeva and four other defendants in the case, “Oboronservis” Presnensky court of Moscow began on Wednesday. Judge Tatyana Vasyuchenko read out the introductory part of the sentence, from which it became clear that it recognized all the accused guilty.

As expected, the judge finished reading the verdict on Thursday, the same day will be announced the sentences. Earlier, the prosecutor’s office asked the court to sentence Vasilyev eight years probation and other defendants in the case – also suspended for periods ranging from four to eight years.
