Russian President Vladimir Putin took early retirement governor of the Omsk region Viktor Nazarov and appointed him as acting Chief Executive Acting head of the region.
As planned, the gubernatorial elections in the Omsk region will be held in September.
Before the expiry of the term of office Nazarov was still two years. His decision to resign, he explained the desire to participate in elections and “to understand the perspectives”.
On Wednesday, Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Sergey Eroschenko and Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Ilyukhin, who will also serve as head of the region before the elections in September.
Earlier this week, ahead of Putin dismissed the governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
