Former US intelligence officer Edward Snowden asked for political asylum in Switzerland – Ekho Moskvy radio station

He said this today during a teleconference Moscow – Geneva. Snowden previously worked in Switzerland as an employee of US National Security Agency. “I would like to return to Geneva, with whom I was fond memories,” – said Snowden. He added that Switzerland would be an excellent place from a policy perspective, as it has always tried to remain neutral.

Let us recall two years ago Snowden received temporary asylum in Russia. In the US, he faces a lengthy prison term for disclosing classified information.
