The fire in the largest shopping center of the capital of Tatarstan appeared on Wednesday afternoon and spread over an area 4000 square meters. The building had been evacuated more than 200 people. In hospitals Kazan are 20 victims, one of them in critical condition.
According to the MOE, to extinguish the fire and rescue operations involved 265 people and 72 pieces of equipment, including fire train and three Mi-8 helicopter.
