US President Barack Obama has accused the US Congress in a strong gun lobby and the American public – a strong apathy that prevents to change the situation with the free circulation of weapons in the country. “Unfortunately, Congress is too strongly influenced by the National Rifle Association. I do not foresee any new legislative measures that could be taken by the Congress. And I do not expect any real action until the American public does not feel an urgent basis, it is time to say: “This situation is not normal, this is what we must change, and we’re going to change it ‘,” – said Mr. Obama, in an interview Reuters.

Earlier, Barack Obama urged to tighten the rules arms trafficking in the United States in connection with the tragedy in Charleston. In the evening on June 17 during a prayer meeting in the African Methodist Episcopal church in Charleston (South Carolina, USA), one of the oldest churches in the United States, which is visited by black Americans, a gunman opened fire. The attack killed eight black parishioners. Two more were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, one of them later died. Dylan Rufus was formally charged with the murder of nine people.
