The relevant decision can be made public by the government in the near future. In an interview with Ukrainian “Fifth” television said Lithuanian Ambassador in Ukraine Marius Janukonis.

«Indeed, such political will is there, and it will be announced by the Lithuanian supreme leadership,” – said the ambassador. Some steps in this direction have already been made. Janukonis could not give specific dates and numbers: “Detailed hard to say, but we are ready».

In this step Lithuania intends to set an example for other countries to emulate. “We must help Ukraine by all means, including military,” – said the ambassador.

Earlier, the US announced the possible deployment of heavy weapons in NATO Europe. Lithuania was the first declared its readiness to take military equipment on its territory. Commenting on the statements of the Russian side of the forced responding, Marius Janukonis said that it reminded him of blackmail. “It is not NATO started this wave of aggression against Ukraine”, – said the Lithuanian diplomat.
