UVA, July 9 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin “on the margins” of the SCO and BRICS summits in Ufa will meet with the head of Kazakhstan, as well as hold a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Mongolia and China, he told reporters aide Yury Ushakov.

In Ufa, July 8-10 will be held at the same time the SCO and BRICS summits. This year, Russia presides in both these organizations. A day earlier, Putin held a bilateral meeting with the Chinese President, the Prime Minister of India, heads of South Africa, Belarus and Tajikistan.

According to Ushakov, at the upcoming meeting of the leaders of Russia, China and Mongolia will discuss progress in promoting trilateral cooperation and outlined the prospects for its further development.

The first such meeting was held on the initiative of the Mongolian side in September 2014 “on the margins” of the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Dushanbe. The sides noted the need for cooperation in the trilateral format and agreed to hold summits on a regular basis.

China’s leaders also put forward the initiative of the Economic Corridor-based interface transport and infrastructure projects of the three countries. It is expected that there will be signed a memorandum of understanding on this issue.

In March, the Russian side came out with the initiative to prepare a “road map” of cooperation between Russia, China and Mongolia. The document promotes full-scale cooperation, including political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, inter-regional and cross-border ties, as well as the issues of the rule of law.

The document is in the final stages of preparation and may be adopted during the summit of Ufa, said Ushakov . In addition, he said, the possibility of signing two industry documents on line Rosgranitsa and FCS.

On the same day, Putin will meet with the head of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
