Turkish invasion of Iraqi territory will not lead to large-scale conflicts between nations – said in an interview with Tass Senior Researcher, Institute of Oriental Studies Boris Dolgov:
-Actions Turkey exacerbate situation in the region, especially in Iraq, and these actions, in general, can be characterized as aggressive toward Iraq. But I still do not think that’s the action of the Turkish troops will lead to some, at least that’s currently in the foreseeable future, a major war. Iraq will respond, of course. But I do not think it will translate into some kind of military action, because Iraq is busy fighting “Islamic state”, which brings together military and Kurdish parts. This is one of the most active forces, which is struggling with the “Islamic state.
Over the past three days, the Kurds have become the victims of a total of more than thirty representatives of the Turkish police.
