The head of the Turkish state declared that he wanted to meet with Vladimir Putin in connection with the fact of violation of the Russian Su-34 airspace of Turkey, reports Reuters.

At the end of last year, Ankara has repeatedly accused Russia of violating its airspace. The culmination was the incident on November 24 when the Turkish fighter jet shot down the Su-24, to carry out tasks in the skies over Syria. The pilot of the Russian plane ejected, but was killed by gunfire from the ground.
The Turkish authorities accused the crew of a downed aircraft of violating its airspace. In Moscow, the incident called the “stab in the back”. Vladimir Putin said he did not understand the reasons for the act of the Turkish military. “Only God knows why they did it,” – he concluded.
Also in Moscow, he stressed that Erdogan tried to contact the Russian president only after seven to eight hours after the incident.
