According to the father of the deceased 23-year-old Marie Janvier, the offender shot the first of his two brothers at home and then went to school. Kevin Janvier said he did not know whether the killer is familiar with his daughter. Marie Janvier was the only child in the family, says the article.

Kevin Janvier is the acting mayor of the city of La Losch, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Earlier, media reported that the shooting occurred in the middle a school where students learn from the 7th to the 12th grade. The building is surrounded, the police and local authorities have asked citizens not to appear on the scene until there is an investigation of what happened.

The suspect was detained. According to preliminary data, it is the local school student. His motives are not yet known.
